The Spirit of America - for 2007
Sounds of Hope decided to return to our American roots and create an album devoted to some
of most well-loved American music favorites. Several groups and individuals were auditioned
and, from those auditioned, Sounds of Hope compiled an album that brings the listener a wide
range of instruments and styles that charactize American music.
In this album,
you will here brass groups, a choir, a barbershop quartet, fife-and-drum and some soloists perform familiar favorites like,
"Stars and Stripes Forever", "God Bless America", "The Liberty Bell", "The Entertainer" and many more.
A special concert by some of the performers is being put together and
Sounds of Hope anticipates a performance date in November, 2007. Please check back for more details!
The Spirit of America -
Sounds of Hope Project will be releasing its sixth album entitled "The Spirit of America"
in the fall of 2007. It will feature patriotic songs and melodies including "God Bless America",
"The Liberty Bell" and "Stars and Stripes Forever". Many local groups and talented
musicians have donated their time to produce this album including
Freedom Brass Band and the choir of the Old Stone Church.
A final release date is not available. A concert including performances
by our featured artists is tentatively planned for November, 2007. Please check back for availability or

"Sounds
of Hope Project is a music outreach program. The purpose is
to comfort, relax and soothe all listeners through the production
of music CDs. The targeted audience includes, but it is not
limited to: shut-ins, those under hospice care, the hospitalized
and those in nursing homes."
