Betty Hunter Shultz

Betty Hunter Shultz received her Bachelor of Music degree from Oberlin Conservatory of Music in 1974. She is currently an adjunct instructor at the  University of Mount Union in Alliance, OH.

She is also the Band Director at Regina Coeli/St. Joseph School in Alliance, OH, and the coordinator/Co-Director of Youngstown Diocese Summer Honors Band.  She gives private lessons for piano and instrumental students.

She was the Band Director, St. Michael School in Canton, OH from 1991-2010, and an adjunct instructor of woodwinds at Geneva College, Beaver Falls, PA, from1991-2004.  Ms. Shultz was Assistant Band Director in East Palestine City Schools, East Palestine, OH from 1984-1991and Band Director for Springfield Intermediate School, New Middletown, OH from1975-1976.

Betty is an active member of Music Educator’s National Conference, Ohio Music Education Association, and International Double Reed Society.

In addition to teaching private instrumental and piano lessons, Betty is principal oboe for the Alliance Symphony Orchestra, Alliance, OH, the Salem Quaker City Band, Salem, OH, and the Canfield Community Band, Canfield, OH.  She is also a member of the University of Mount Union’s faculty woodwind quarter, Sine Nomine.
